Personal Thoughts
The idea of me teaching anyone Precalculus is pretty amusing. I’ll be completely honest—I haven’t taken this exam myself. But I know many of you who are considering it probably enjoy math and are much further along in your understanding than I ever was.
That said, I can still help point you in the right direction. My approach here is simple: I’ll outline the key topics the exam covers, share some helpful resources and tutorials, and then step aside so you can dive into the material at your own pace. Honestly, we’ll both be better off that way.
This exam is definitely one for the math-inclined. If you have a solid grasp of algebra and trigonometry, you’re probably well-prepared to tackle what’s ahead. The content is focused, but rigorous—so while it’s not overwhelming in scope, it does require a firm command of the concepts.
Precalculus is one of those subjects where practice really makes all the difference. Don’t just memorize formulas—work through problems, get comfortable with graphing functions, and be sure you understand how all the concepts fit together. There’s a logical flow to the material, and once you get into that rhythm, it becomes much easier to manage.
In short, if you’re confident in your math skills and ready to study consistently, there’s no reason you can’t pass this exam. And if you're like me and math isn’t your strongest suit, well—at least you’re not alone!
Note: Much like Calculus, I'm not the person to spot-check the AI's accuracy in Precalc. Until I can get someone to double-check this for me, don't stress if a flashcard or question indicates an answer is wrong when you know it's right. You're likely correct in the end. Report any that you run into, and we'll get it all sorted.
